2. Getting Started with MailMinder

Setting up MailMinder is a breeze. Let’s get your Gmail organized!

  • A Gmail account (works with free Gmail and G-Suite)
  1. Copy the Spreadsheet

    • Open the spreadsheet you got after buying MailMinder
    • Click “File” > “Make a copy”
  2. Open Your New Spreadsheet

  3. Set Up the Script

    • Click “Extensions” > “Apps Script”
  4. Add Gmail to Services

    • Click the + next to “Services”
    • Find “Gmail API”
    • Keep “Identifier” as “Gmail”
    • Click “Add”
  5. Create Labels and Sheets

    • In the script editor, pick “Initialize” from the dropdown
    • Click “Run”
    • This makes labels in Gmail and sets up your spreadsheet

    Note: You’ll need to give the script permission to access your Gmail

  6. Let MailMinder Run Automatically

    • In the script editor, pick “install” from the dropdown
    • Click “Run”
    • Now MailMinder will run every 10 minutes
  7. Set Up Multiple Inboxes in Gmail

    • Go to Gmail Settings

    • Find “Inbox type”, choose “Multiple Inboxes”

    • Use these settings:

    • Click “Save Changes”
